No Time To Waste!

After realizing iChoose did not perform abortions, Remi felt like time was running out. With no time to waste, she was ready to leave. We explained what iChoose could offer, and she decided to continue with the appointment.

Remi had tears in her eyes as she entered the counseling room. She pointed to the fetal models and said, “It’s just that I have a daughter, and when I look at those, I think of her”. She began to detail the many challenges she was facing in her life that were weighing on her decision to have an abortion. She shared about being a single parent and that she was fearful of facing this role again alone.

As we talked through her options, she abruptly noted she had made up her mind - she was going to pursue an abortion, and she needed to do it right away. She was no longer interested in having an ultrasound and said she could have an ultrasound at the abortion clinic. Remi began to gather the information we provided, which included the book You’re Braver Than You Think. With Scripture as its foundation, this book shares God’s truth about an unplanned pregnancy.

The next week, we called her to follow-up. Remi immediately answered her phone and said, “I didn’t do it”. She shared that even though she had lost her job, she had still made the decision to have her baby. Remi thanked us for checking on her and told us she was taking things one step at a time.
